Scarborough was treated to the spectacular sight of around 100 chromed and polished Honda Goldwing motorbikes when the Yorkshire branch of the owners club held their first event in the town.
MORE than 100 motorcycles cruised into Scarborough and, at night, formed a dazzling cavalcade along the seafront.
Honda Goldwing owners from all over the United Kingdom parked their bikes in Foreshore Road during the event, which included a day of fundraising before the evening's parade.
As the polished chrome glistened in the sun Scarborough Mayor Eileen Vickers was on hand to pick out the best bike and trike winners and hand out the trophies.
Cllr Vickers awarded the Best Bike trophy to Nigel and Denise Corbey, from Bradford. Dave Bowman, who had travelled 400 miles from Perthshire in Scotland for the event, was presented with the Best Trike award.
She said: "It was an absolutely fantastic event and nice to see such a large number of people taking part. It was a very hard decision choosing which bike was the best as they were all absolutely immaculate."
The event, organised by the Yorkshire Branch of the Goldwing Owners Club, raised £2,198 for Scarborough Lifeboat. The money was raised through a raffle and tombola and a collection, as well as taking photos of people posing on the bikes.
