Sri Lankans lead test

SRI Lanka under-19s led England by 167 runs at stumps on day three of the youth test taking place at North Marine Road.

Akshu Fernando was not out on 44 at the close of play after scoring those runs off 96 balls including five fours.

In bat alongside him resuming today for the final day of play was number nine Charith Jayampathi who had made 17.

Kithuruwan Vithanage is the top scorer of the Sri Lankan's second innings so far after he smashed a stylist 53 off 63 balls helping himself to seven fours and one six along the way.
