Rob Northen's ready to tackle old team
STRIKER Rob Northen will return to the Scarborough Athletic ranks in time to take the trip to his former club Winterton Rangers tonight, 7.45pm.
The frontman has missed Boro's last two games after picking up a foot injury at work.
Northen earned legendary status at Winterton, hitting a hatful of goals for the Lincolnshire side, before moving on to Barton Town and then Boro this season.
Northen could be one of many strikers in the Boro squad, with new signing Craig Palmer, Ryan Blott, Richard Medcalf and Danny Gray all pressing for a place.
Boss Brian France will also welcome full-back Danny Moore into the side after his suspension, while winger Joel Hartley is hoping to recover from a back strain.
France said: "It will be nice to have a few lads back in the squad again, especially after we were down to the bare bones at Pickering last weekend.
"Rob will give us another option up front. He has done very well since he has arrived at the club, his pace is a real threat to defences.
"It will be a tough game, but we need to get things back on track again now, the three points at Winterton are very important."
