Price sets sights on national glory
WESTWAY'S Danny Price launches his ABA championship adventure tomorrow.
The heavyweight will return to the action at Hull’s St Paul’s Centre, though he may be handed a bye straight through to the Yorkshire final, which takes place at Beverley on March 20.
Price has been shaping up for the event in style, with some top sparring against some of the country’s leading emerging fighters.
He said: “I am one of three fighters in my weight, so I could either box on the night or be given a bye through to the final.
“Hopefully I’ll be given the chance to fight because I just want to be getting back into that ring for a competitive fight.
“I have have been doing lots of good sparring in preparation for this. I have gone in the ring with Prizefighter’s Chris Burton, David Price and undefeated pro Craig Denton.
“I’m feeling good now and I can’t wait to get back into it again.”
