Pinder bags three

ROB Pinder scored a hat-trick as Staxton returned to winning ways with a 7-2 defeat of Strongwood Reserves.

Man of the match and recent signing Ed Woodmansey chipped in with a brace while Pete Ellis and John Lane were also on target.

Joe Turner netted a couple of goals for Strongwood but they were second best for much of the game.

Rich Simpson helped himself to a brace when Merchant saw off AFC Tonics 3-1.

In a game switched to Snainton, Tonics led at the break thanks to a goal from Ben Stanley.

Merchant hit back and were level on 60 minutes when Simpson finished.

Simpson scored again to see Merchant in front for the first time and Ashley Townley complete the turnaround for Rhys Howell’s side.

Midfielder and captain Nicky Sumpton was named as the Merchant man of the match.

Wreyfield and West Pier Reserves played out a 0-0 draw with neither side creating much.

And Traf Reserves picked up a 3-0 win against Commercial away from home.
