Park hit back

SCHOLES Park Raiders under-12s had to battle back from two goals down to defeat West Pier 4-2.

Pier raced into a two-goal lead before Lewis Burlinson started the recovery for Scholes with a well placedheader from a Lewis Hird corner.

And it was all square at the break thanks to a very impressive Terry Walters free-kick.

Raiders continued to press in the second half and went ahead for the first time when Walters curled home after good work from Thomas Boyes.

Burlinson wrapped things up for Raiders with 15 minutes remaining.

Another side to claim a 4-2 victory were Holt FC who defeated Flamborough at home.

Flamborough were a goal to the good but Lee McLaughlin levelled for Holt and then saw them in the lead heading into the break with another strike.

James Purdy added a third for Holt early in the second half and it was 4-1 thanks to Nathan Gilbert.

Flamborough scored a second late on but Holt had done enough to claim the win.

Owen Banks and Marcus Kenny both impressed for the winning side.
