Anglers ready to help out the Heroes
Wykeham Lakes proprietor Mike Heelis is organising a couple of fund-raising matches this Saturday in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.
The carp lake will host an open event in tandem with the trout competition which is being staged on the adjacent lake.
Weather permitting, the fund raising activities will conclude with a complementary BBQ immediately following the matches with the day’s total proceeds including voluntary contributions from the BBQ all being donated to the charity.
Full information for both events is available from Mike who can be contacted either on (01723) 863148 evenings or mobile 07946534001.
SMAC members wishing to compete in the club’s imminent 40-hour members match which is scheduled for the weekend of September 24 to 26 are reminded that their places must be prebooked by contacting Kev Ellis on 353470.
The draw begins at 5pm on the Friday prior to fishing from 6pm until 10am on Sunday. Entry is £12 all-in.
