Nomads duo too hot for Ryedale
Ryedale SC 2 Nomads 8 Nomads pair John Loftus and Dale Symons were too good for division one rivals Ryedale.
Both players remained unbeaten and took the doubles together. Third player Richard Lloyd staged a magnificent comeback from 0-8 down against Mick Carter to take the set 13-11 only to lose the fifth 7-11.
Lloyd managed to get on the scoresheet by defeating Barry Rudd.
Pindar A 8 TCC 2
Pindar recorded their first win of the season against struggling TCC.
Nigel Clapham took all his singles and Jason McAleese and Guy Whiting both scored a brace.
TCCs response was a single for Tim Penrose and Steve Miller.
Brid Old Boys 5 Time Lords 5
Both teams deserve praise for an excellent match with the crucial doubles going Brid's way to share the points out.
Macaulley Youngson and Trevor Teasdale won two rubbers each for Time Lords and Tom Harrington scored an all-important single for them.
The Old Boys' greater experience was rewarded with a brace from Julian James and singles for Barry Jordan and John Irish.
Scarborough A 9 Blue Hawks 1
David Stubbs stopped the whitewash for his team with a terrific five set win against his old rival Neil Raine. He took the deciding set 11-9 in the match of the night.
Mark Marshall and Rebecca George kept up their great start to the season by staying unbeaten while Raine won his remaining rubbers.
