Men slip to derby loss
SCARBOROUGH's men suffered a 5-0 Yorkshire League defeat at the hands of derby rivals Old Malton.
The heat has really been put on Scarborough with them falling to their fourth defeat in successive weeks and putting them into the relegation battle.
It hasnt been a good November for the side. And unfortunately for Scarborough the derby clash didn’t go in their favour.
Malton dominated the first 20 minutes of the first half and they finally struck to take the lead.
Scarborough did at times show creativity and promise but not enough to take anything from this game, as they only made half chances.
Malton showed their dominance and proved why they should be top of the league.
The last eight minutes were tough as Scarborough were reduced to 10 men as they lost their captain Anthony Allison, but the score was kept down with some great saves from man of the match Tim Allison in form again.
Scarborough play host to City of York in a vital clash at Pindar on Saturday, 2pm.
With one point separating the two teams Scarborough need to pick up the points in that encounter.
