George Rhodes is a final hit

WESTWAY ABC's George Rhodes marched into the Northern final of the National Boys Club Championships with a unanimous decision against Bridlington's George Horner.

Rhodes, who fights at 67kg, moved through after he saw off Bridlington's George Horner in the Yorkshire final at Sheffield's Colliers Club.

Rhodes wasted no time in the bout for fighters of 19 and under, pressing forward in the opening round to nick the advantage.

Horner came back strongly in the second but Rhodes upped the tempo with his superior hand speed to take the next two and grab the unanimous win.

He will face the North-east champ in the next stage a week tomorrow.
