France blasts back at keeper

SCARBOROUGH Athletic boss Brian France has hit back at Arran Reid following the keeper's departure from the club.

The stopper stormed out at the beginning of the week, citing reasons of a split in the Boro camp.

France said: “I think it was just time for Arran to go. Nobody has the divine right to play every game, although that is what Arran seemed to think.

“Glen Powley has been doing well in goal while Arran has been struggling with injury.

“Arran hasn’t been in to receive any treatment at training from either of our physios Karen Hankey or Brian Waltham, who have been available.

“All of the other players have been training - even if they are injured they do a bit.

“We have got the spirit back in the camp now, which is great, so we will just move on from this whole thing.”
