Treble joy for Newlands ace Ben Luntley

BEN Luntley blasted in a hat-trick as Newlands eased past the first round of the Senior Cup with an 8-1 win at Wreyfield.

Luntley was a constant threat to the Wreyfield defence all game and showed his finishing touch.

Mike Wilson chipped in with a brace for Newlands while Jack Hakings, Jamie Gallagher and Kristian Johnson all added their names to the scoresheet for the victors.

The game was actually goalless at the interval until Newlands stepped it up a gear for the second half.

Lee Wardle scored the consolation effort for Wreyfield.

Gallagher's strike was the pick of the goals, a 25 yeard cracker.

Right-sided midfielder Wilson was named as the Newlands man of the match.
