Hall bags crucial goal

FC Rosette 1 (Hall) Eastfield Reserves 0 MIDFIELDER Simon Hall scored the only goal of the game to hand Dan I'Anson's side all three points.

Hall scored the crucial goal after just two minutes with a fine run and shot.

The same player had the opportunity to add to his tally but the one goal was enough.

I'Anson said: "I am pleased with the performance overall and I thought Eddie Marriott was excellent in midfield."

Westover Wasps 6 (Joe Cairns 3, Varley, McDermott, Olroyd) Hull University 2 (Chibueze, Petrakov)

Striker Joe Cairns bagged a treble as Westover stayed clear at the top of the table.

Daz Varley, Duncan Mcdermott and Mark Olroyd with a penalty were also on target for the victors.

Westover boss Chris Townsend said: "The lads took their chances well and we played some decent football.

"Joe has been in fine form for most of the season and if we can continue this form then there is no reason we can't go on to win the league."
