Defender Gill bags a brace as Trafalgar earn victory

DEFENDER Baz Gill scored twice as Trafalgar claimed maximum points with a 3-1 defeat of Newlands.

Ben Luntley scored the opener for Newlands but Traf were back on level terms at the break thanks to Gill.

The same player put the hosts ahead for the first time in the match in the second half with a header from a Ben Salt cross.

Martin Cooper added the third for Traf who had Matty Turnbull in fine form.

B & C Riskers and Strongwood had to settle for a share of the spoils as they drew one apiece.

There were no goals in the first half but Riskers were ahead when Mike Barker netted after a fine flick-on from Luke Delve.

Drew McCoubrey equalised from the penalty spot after a trip in the area.

Sam Chambers came close to winning it for Riskers but missed a golden opportunity.
