Coach Mitch Cook's tribute to Scarborough Town hot-shots

COACH Mitch Cook was delighted with his striking trio as Scarborough Town stormed into the semi-finals of the Wearside League Cup with an 8-1 win over Boldon at Pindar.

Josh Greening netted a hat-trick and Luke Jenkinson two, while Joel Ramm was also on target as Town ran away with the match after a shaky opening.

"Once we settled down after the first 30 minutes we were a real threat up front," said Cook. "Ricky Ossai, who stepped in late on because Rob Clark wasn't well, also impressed and it shows we have two good keepers."

Town will travel to either Jarrow or New Marske in the semis, with league leaders Ryhope in the other half of the draw.

Town will have been further boosted by news of Ryhope's 11-1 league draw at Windscale, leaving Cook's side 10 points adrift but with three games in hand.
