Extra special Ledner shines for Phoenix under-nines
JAMES Ledner was the extra-time hero as he bagged a brace to help Phoenix under-nines see off Seamer 2-1 in the semi-finals of the League Cup.
Phoenix were a goal to the good early doors when Ledner slotted in a headed cross.
Pheonix relaxed and this allowed Seamer to score an equaliser.
Neither side were able to add to the tally so the game went to extra-time.
Phoenix began to take control and a fine move led to Ledner scoring the winner with a fantastic strike.
Seamer fought back but player of the match Bradley Atkinson was supber in the Phoenix goal.
Victors Phoenix will meet Scalby in the final at Queensgate in what should be a close encounter.
