Boss happy with Scarborough Athletic revival
SCARBOROUGH Athletic finally look to have shaken off the rust that has seen them drop away from the NCEL Premier division title push.
Boro had been horribly out of form since the enforced break of December and January, though Saturday's 6-1 home hammering of Nostell did give a big hint that Brian France's men are getting back to their best.
The hosts hit four goals in the last 15 minutes of the game, as the attacking line ripped through a shell-shocked Nostell defence.
The Boro boss said: "That was much more like it, in the latter stages of the game we really got back to our best.
"There are still the odd few issues that need ironing out with the performance, like the manner we conceded our goal, but overall it was a lot more promising.
"We know we are capable of this sort of display, it just needs producing again and again."
There was some bad news on a bright afternoon for Boro, as winger Mark Griffin had to go to hospital with a suspected broken foot. It was later revealed though that it was just bad bruising, but he will still be out for a while.
