Abigail roars to top junior finish
Crossgates youngster Abigail Ford produced her best race by far at Scarborough Autograss Club's Hunmanby Raceway.
Abigail showed tremendous spirit and battled hard to claim her best ever finish of second place in the juniors final.
Kev Frankland was victorious in the Class 2's after being runner-up so many times to the Ryedale drivers who seem to dominate this class.
One of the best results of the season at Hunmanby was Geoff Ashworth's debut win in the ultra-competitive and fast Class 8 specials.
Ashworth showed great resilience to claim his maiden win despite coming under some intense pressure.
James Lancaster also survived some immense pressure to win the class 9 specials final, while Filey stock-hatch racer Jay Hammerton took the honours in his final to make it a good day for Scarborough-based drivers on a day of top action.
