STRONGWOOD'SNorth Riding FA Sunday Challenge Cup run came to a crashing halt with a 6-3 defeat at Dormans United in their last 16 clash.
The Eastfield side were blown away by a rampant home team, who were 5-0 ahead by half-time.
United added a sixth early in the second half, but the visitors had most of the play after the break, with Joe Turner Matty Drury and James Coyle all on target.
Centre-back Oliver Coyle was picked out as man of the match for the visitors.
Hunmanby Hornets battled hard for a 4-2 McCain Cup Pool B win at second division Staxton in extra-time.
Rob Pinder's shot put the hosts ahead but goals from Dave Wedge and Dan Baldry gave Hornets the lead. Elliott Cooper levelled for Staxton to send the game into extra-time.
Cameron Dobson grabbed both goals for the visitors in extra-time to seal the win.
Keepers Andy Dove (Staxton) and Ricky Ossai (Hunmanby) both pulled off some top-class saves in a thrilling cup-tie.
Neil Thomas hit four goals as Angel battled back from three goals down to win 5-3 at Wreyfield in the Kenward Cup quarter-finals.
Two goals from Lee Dennis and a Paul I'Anson header put Gary Simm's team 3-0 ahead, but Neil Thomas gave the visitors hope with a goal five minutes before the break.
Neil's older brother Gary Thomas, who had been moved from centre-back to central midfield at half-time by Angel manager Jamie Towse, scored his side's second shortly after the break.
Neil Thomas then scored three more goals to book a semi-final meeting with Castle Tavern at Oliver's Mount.
Youngster Tom Makin shone for Wreyfield at right-back, while Towse handed his side's award to the whole team for their excellent effort - especially after the tactical changes the boss made at half- time.
Filey Flyers player-boss Martyn Jenkinson went from zero to hero in his team's 2-1 Senior Cup success at West Pier Reserves.
Pier opened the scoring when Jenkinson forced the ball past his own keeper in the 20th minute.
Stu Dickens, who had an outstanding game up front for the visitors, levelled for Flyers 10 minute before half-time.
The game looked set for extra-time when Jenkinson turned and shot home after a corner, booking his side's spot in the next round.
