SCARBOROUGH Town head coach Mitch Cook is proud of the start his side have made to their Teesside League division two debut campaign.
Town are undefeated in their opening three games and tonight make the trip to Redcar Rugby Club FC for a re-arranged fixture (6.15pm ko) after the game was postponed last week due to a waterlogged pitch.

Cook said: "The lads are determined to keep
the unbeaten run going.

"We have started the season very well and the boys are playing with plenty of confidence.

"They are all local lads apart from Wayne Brooksby and they want to do well for the team.

"The second division is a tough league in terms of teams being very physical but we are managing to handle it and at the same time play decent football."

Cook's charges won 3-2 at Acklam Steelworks at the weekend with Josh Greening bagging the winner three minutes into injury-time.

Cook added: "We showed some very good determination to keep going right until the end and I think that we deserved to get the win.

"The players have a great attitude -they never know when they are beaten and they are doing a good job.

"We have a real opportunity to do well and if we continue to show the same kind of effort and commitment then we can be a success."

Player-coach Marcus Jones is unavailable due to work commitments tonight, but otherwise Town have a full squad.
