Under-11s Specsavers
Cup final

Phoenix FC 3 (Howes 2, Law)

Cayton 1 (Pickles)

Phoenix under-11s sealed another cup and league double for their club, who secured a 100% record in this year’s finals with the victory.

Phoenix started the game the strongest, taking the initiative from the very start.

Josh Brown in Cayton’s goal was very busy and pulled off three outstanding saves before he had to leave the pitch due to injury.

Josh Howes scored two goals after six and nine minutes to give Phoenix control of the game and Connor Law made it a comfortable half-time lead with their third.

The second half was a different story for Cayton as they finally came to life and made a fight of it. Lewis Pickles pulled a goal back and caused Phoenix a few difficult moments.

Cayton pushed forward with greater purpose but they were not able to break down Phoenix's defence anymore.

A good game from two competitive and sporting teams.
