SEAMER and District Bowling Club has received permission from Scarborough Council to erect a new pavilion at the recreation field off Pasture Lane, Seamer, to replace the Portakabin clubhouse which has now come to the end of its useful life.
To help with development funds the club has organised its annual Aussie pairs whistlestop competition for Sunday August 24, with a 10am start.

This is being sponsored by Seamer Stores and Awards and Promotional Supplies, but more sponsors and donations of cash and tombola prizes would be welcome.

Six teams are needed to make up the 24 team event (entry fee £6), and entry forms and further information for anyone wishing to support the event can be obtained from club secretary Melvin Riley, tel (01723) 890891.
