SOUTH CLIFF Bowling Club members played their annual match against Yorkshire Patrons at the Filey Road green on Sunday, again in fine weather, with the Patrons winning 128-109.
The host club did have two winning rinks, however, Muriel Thistleton, Arthur Redfearn, Patrick Corbett and skip Mick Conner 24-11 and David Sessions, Brian Collison, Dorothy Dawson and skip Les Banks 20-18.
On Thursday May 15, at 2pm, the Aussie Pairs exhibition match between John Price/Graham Shadwell and Carole McLean/Mark Walton will be held.
This should provide first class entertainment and the four internationals will be around from about 1pm to chat with spectators, who are welcome.
In the evening, as part of the Bowls Festival, John Price and Graham Shadwell will be involved in a pro-am event at Scarborough Bowls Centre. Spectators are welcome and catering will be available.
