Scarborough Athletic kick off their debut season in the Northern Counties East League premier division with a trip to Nostell Miners Welfare on August 8.
The Wakefield side, who beat Boro in the final of last season's President's Cup and who finished 13th in the premier league, make the return trip to Queensgate on Boxing Day.

Boro's first home game of the new season is against Winterton on August 29.

The clashes with landlords Bridlington Town are on November 7 and March 27, while Boro entertain Pickering on October 17 and go to Mill Lane on March 6.

an ideal start. the boys should be up for this one. they played badly in the 2nd leg of the final and will want to put that right. its a big game for them to. they will get a crowd. i personally am really looking forward to this season. lets get off to a good start and keep it going. it wont be as easy as last year but there is no reason why we cant go straight through. lets get behind our team, lets get those crowds up. the standard of football is very good so those who havnt been give it a go.we need you to support your club on the terraces not at home.it would be great to get 1000 plus at some games.

I echo Steve's comment - the standard of footie is way higher than I expected and has been a joy to watch.... not forgetting the 160+ goals the team scored in just 50 odd games last year!!

I reckon the two Bridlington games will top 800 easily and Pickering away will be their biggest league gate ever in the NCEL most likely!

Lets hope more folk reading this like the sound of an enjoyable afternoon at the footie and leave their SKY TV remotes on the mantle piece and get some fresh air!
