Underage sex alleged

A SCARBOROUGH man who has been charged with engaging in sexual intercourse with an underage girl has appeared at court.

Matthew Chadwick, 22, of Holme Hill in Eastfield, is alleged to have committed the offence on May 10.

The case was committed to York Crown Court, where a preliminary hearing will take place on July 19. Chadwick was granted conditional bail.
