Unbelievable! Comic carrot raises a smile in Scarborough
WHAT'S up doc?
Bugs would be a happy bunny if he saw this mis-shapen carrot, which was discovered by 10-year-old Northstead Primary School pupil Evie Stanway in a bag of carrots at her home in St John's Avenue.
She said: "I couldn't believe my eyes."
Graham School pupil Scott Asquith, on work experience at the Evening News, was equally surprised.
He said: "It's got to make you smile. I like my vegetables and if something can make you laugh as well as being healthy for you it's got to be a good thing!"
Mis-shapen carrots are said to be the result of incorrect soil conditions and, although causing a few giggles, are not so appreciated in the kitchen.
