Thieves take £2,000 bike
THIEVES stole a £2,000 bike from a roof rack, in broad daylight, in a busy supermarket car park.
The black and silver Lapierre Zesty 314 was taken from the Vauxhall Astra some time between 1.30pm and 2.10pm on Wednesday of last week while it was parked near to the entrance of Morrisons.
A Scarborough Police spokeswoman said: "It was secured by a lock, which was forced, and another one next to it wasn't taken."
She added that it would have been very busy at the time of the theft and someone must have seen what happened.
The stolen cycle had several distinctive features including hydraulic brakes.
