Stranded seal pup rescued by family duo
THIS little seal pup was rescued by father and son duo David and Wayne Wilson from Middlesbrough.
The seal became stranded at Skinningrove and was reported by a member of the public
The pair, who are volunteers for the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR), called in to the Whitby Gazette office with the seal en route to a vet in Scarborough.
After that the seal was to be taken to the RSPCA centre at East Winch, Norfolk.
"We would say he was about four months old.
"He is injured and has an eye infection, his throat has been cut , probably by a fishing net." said David.
BDMLR is an organisation dedicated to the rescue and well being of all marine animals in distress around the UK.
It is a network of trained and professional marine mammal medics who respond to call outs from the general public, HM Coastguard, Police and RSPCA.

To contact them call (01825) 765546 or visit www.bdmlr.org.uk.
BDMLR always welcomes donations and with your donation you might help buy specialist milk to help orphaned seal pups in hospital.
