Soldier Tom returns home

Teenage soldier Tom Davis-Lawlor, 19, was all smiles when he came back to Scarborough on Wednesday evening.

A month after loosing both legs in a bomb blast while serving with the 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regt(Green Howards)in Afghanistan, Tom was greeted by his mum and dad, his whole family, and girlfriend Annie McMahon, at the Royal Hotel, which has given him a suite for a week as a welcome back to his home town.

Click on Play to watch our video of an interview with Tom by reporter Sophie Barley, and some fun moments making the video.
