'Royal' visit to town as the Duchess steams in

Hundreds of rail enthusiasts came to Scarborough Railway Station and nearby Westwood, to see the Duchess of Sutherland steam loco.

The 1938 steam loco, No 6233, in her new black LMS livery, pulled a day excursion train from Leicester and back, bringing hundreds of passengers to the town on Saturday.

The dates for the regular Scarborough Spa Express steam loco service has yet to be announced for 2010.
