Pair build up financial team
TWO former Scar- borough Building Society staff have been appointed to the Skipton's Fin- ancial Services division.
Stephen Chapman, who has more than 19 years experience in financial services, is the new regional sales manager at Skipton Financial Services following the completion of the merger between the Scarbor- ough and the Skipton building societies in March.
Mr Chapman is joining the division from the legal and general division where he managed the advisers in the Scar- borough's branches.
In his new role he will be responsible for managing the sales performance of advisers across the north east from Newcastle down the coast to Hull.
Mr Chapman said: "I am delighted to have joined Skipton Financial Services as I feel it is a company which puts its customers' needs first and has an enviable reputation for providing quality financial advice.
"Having operated in this area with my time working on behalf of Scarbor- ough Building Society, I know the area well and looking forward to the challenges this new role brings."
Iain Lightfoot, divisional sales manager at Skipton Financial Services, said: "Stephen's skills and experience in financial services made him perfect for this role.

Also appointed from the Scarborough is Andrew Payne, who is the market financial adviser for Skip- ton Financial Serv- ices for Scarborough, specialising in investments and inheritance tax planning.
He operated from the York and Newby branches for the last five years when he was employed by Legal & General offering advice to Scarbor ough Building Society customers.
Mr Payne, who has 18 years' experience in financial services, will be based at the Skipton's new branch in Westborough, Scar- borough, and complement the existing Skipton advisers in the Scarborough area Michael Brearley and David Brooman.
Mr Payne said: "I am delighted to have joined Skipton Financial Services covering Scarborough and look forward to working closely with the Skipton Building Society staff in the branch."
