One agent is better than two in housing business
TWO Scarborough estate agents have joined forces in a united effort to tackle the difficult housing market.
Peter Jones, of Homesdotcom, and Dan Henley-Welch, of Thorgils and Kormac letting agency, have amalgamated their companies to form Henley and Jones estate agents.
The agency is based in Falsgrave Road, in the former premises of Homesdotcom, and is staffed entirely by members of the Jones and Henley-Welch families.
Mr Henley-Welch said: "The market is tough out there, and it has changed considerably in recent times, but we feel we have responded accordingly.
"Peter had been getting a lot of enquiries about lettings and I wanted to branch out into sales so we decided the sensible thing to do was to bring it all under one roof and work together.
"I have worked at an estate agent before and have been involved in sales and it was always in the back of my mind that I might want to get back in to it.
"Now I have, and now I am working with Peter, I am really excited about the future of Henley Jones and I think we have what it takes to see through these challenging times."
Mr Jones said: "We are very family orientated. Everyone who is employed is part of either mine or Dan's family so everyone is extremely motivated to do what is right.
"Our focus is on customer service, and we feel the key to getting it right is to give the customer 110 per cent of our time and effort, and do what is right for them.
"It is what I did with Homesdotcom and what Dan did with Thorgils and Kormac, and we will continue our excellent service with Henley and Jones."
