Next meet focuses on bit of pampering
THE carers group of Parkinson's UK Scarborough and district branch will hold its next meeting on Thursday August 5 from 2pm at the Dane's Dyke community room in Newby.
Former Estee Lauder representative Ann Golder will give advice to the women on make-up and they are asked to take their own mirrors.
There will also be gardening advice for men.
A group spokesman said: "The get-togethers are a chance for carers to take some time out from their responsibilities, talk to people with similar care problems and exchange ideas and solutions.
"They can also openly discuss their feelings about their situation and realise they are not alone."
Organiser Irene Atkinson is delighted with the response to this new event and the afternoon is open to all carers of Parkinson's patients - whether they are branch members or not.
