Man on fraud charges

A SCARBOROUGH man who allegedly claimed he was WWE wrestler "The Rock" to obtain gifts and memorabilia from Manchester Football club has been remanded on bail.

Wayne Scott, aka, Kane Van Basten, 35, of Eastborough did not appear at Scarborough Magistrates Court, but was remanded on bail until February 18 in his absence.

He is charged with three counts of fraud by misrepresentation, two counts of malicious communication and one count of failing to surrender to Scarborough Police Station to answer bail on November 2.
