Indecent images case

A MAN has appeared at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court charged with possessing more than 9,608 indecent images of children.

Gavin Lee Baker, of Redcar, Cleveland, did not enter a plea during the brief hearing.

The 35 year old is also charged with an additional 33 matters relating to indecent images and videos.

The images were graded as between level one and level five, with five being the most serious.

The matter was committed to York Crown Court for a case management hearing on March 12. The defendant remains on conditional bail.
