Go looking for gold at bank holiday treasure hunt

CHILDREN can search for hidden gold around Scarborough's Market Hall in a special bank holiday treasure hunt.

The free event takes place from noon onwards tomorrow.

Children and their parents can search for the hidden treasure, completing the trail before 4pm. They then have the chance to enter the main prize draw.

Each entrant will be given a treasure map and a series of clues to go on a trail for gold, left behind by the pirate on his way to bury his treasure. At the end of the trail they can enter the "Guess where the hidden treasure is" draw for a chance to win the treasure chest of edible treasure!

The event has been organised as part of the Friends of Scarborough Market's activities to try to raise the profile of the market hall.

Entrants are asked to collect an entry form and clues sheet from the Sweet Stall in the centre of the Market Hall from noon onwards tomorrow.
