Firm joins the IT crowd for digital awards gong

A SCARBOROUGH IT company will tonight find out if it is to be named the Best IT Consultancy in Yorkshire.

Save9 Ltd, based at Woodend Creative Arts, has been shortlisted for the title at the 2009 Yorkshire Digital Awards being held tonight at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

The awards, which are now in their tenth year, were established to acknowledge and promote digital companies in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Save9 is one of five finalists for the award and joins four other companies from Leeds and Huddersfield.

Steve Bromham, Save9's managing director, said: "Our team of business managers, technical experts and creative staff are all highly-skilled in their own disciplines and they all contribute to customer projects at different stages.

"The variety of our product portfolio is absolutely critical to Save9's success, especially when you consider that smaller based IT companies like ourselves are expected to deliver a wide range of IT services to satisfy the demands of both large and small customers in multiple industry sectors throughout Yorkshire.

"Technology is also changing every week so our biggest challenge is to constantly innovate, ensuring we always stay one step ahead of the competition."

Last year saw Save9 secure a number of high profile contracts – most notably the provision of a complete business centre IT infrastructure at the 5 million Woodend Creative Workspace Centre, plus a high-profile content managed website and IT support services for NYnet, the largest public sector broadband initiative in Europe.

With clients including Pindar plc, British Antarctic Survey and Sonoco, Save9 says it is well set for further success this year and beyond.
