Robert Goodwill has been given a mandate to serve the people of Scarborough and Whitby for a further five years.

The turnout in the borough was 49,331

The results were as follows:

Robert Goodwill, Conservative - 21,108

Annajoy David, Labour - 12,978

Tania Exley-Moore, Liberal Democrat - 11,093

Michael James, UK Independence Part - 1484

Trisha Scott, British National Party - 1445

Dilys Cluer, Green Party - 734

Peter Popple, Independent - 329

Juliet Boddington, Alliance of Green Socialism - 111
