Eastfield school supports Marie Curie campaign

OVERDALE School is supporting the Marie Curie mini pots of care campaign by planting hundreds of daffodils.

Youngsters at the Eastfield school spent the day planting the bulbs in the school grounds. They hope to raise hundreds of pounds for Marie Curie through the project.

Next March the children will take the daffodils home and collect their sponsorship money. Julie Dixon, personal development leader, said: "About 220 children have been involved with this and we have had a lovely time.

"We have been busy planted and we are looking forward to seeing them grow. Last year we raised about 200 through this and we hope to raise the same if not more this time."
