Cinema plan is submitted
A FORMAL bid to convert the North Street car park into a multiplex cinema plus a hotel and shops has been submitted to Scarborough Council.
The plans would also include restaurants and underground off-street car parking, according to documents submitted to next Thursday's planning committee. The application has been lodged in outline form.
The development would comprise six floors with car parking available over two levels below ground.
But objections have been lodged by Boleyn's Nightclub in St Thomas Street which fears existing small businesses would be affected if drink licences were granted and by two nearby residents.
