Child porn charge
AN Eastfield man has appeared in court after thousands of indecent images of children were allegedly found on his computer hard drive.
James Michael Bicknell, 29, of Northwold Road, entered no plea yesterday when the 29 separate charges relating to possessing indecent images of children were read to him by Scarborough magistrates.
Katy Varlow, of the Crown Prosecution Service, said that 1,873 images and 404 movies were discovered a year ago when the computer was used by another person.
Bicknell was released on unconditional bail until the next appearance at magistrates' court.
