Castle at special ceremony

STAFF at a Scarborough recruitment firm enjoyed the sparkling lights of London as they attended a national awards final.

Suzanne Burnett and Anna Boot, of Castle Employment Agency were at the Oscar-style ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel for the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2009.

The York Place based agency had been shortlisted for the Best Recruitment Firm to Work For category – though it did not scoop the title on the night.

Mrs Burnett, Castle Employment’s managing director said: “We had a great night, it was fabulous to mix with recruiters from all around the country.

“The Grosvenor House Hotel venue was wonderful and Michael McIntre, the entertainer for the evening, was hilarious. We weren’t lucky enough to pick up the trophy but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the evening.”

However, the pair did not walk away completely empty handed on the night as Miss Boot won the limbo dancing competition.
