Brothel duo face charges
TWO Chinese women have reappeared in court charged with running a brothel in Scarborough.
Yan Na Cai and Lin Li, both 49, stand accused of managing the house of ill repute in Gladstone Road.
The duo, of Queen Street, are also charged with possessing criminal property after £1,200 was found inside the property last month.
Cai and Li spoke only to confirm their names via an interpreter during a brief hearing at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court.
They were remanded in custody with a further hearing scheduled for Monday February 27.
The case will be committed to crown court in March.
