Firefighters were called to put out a car on fire in Scarborough last night.

The team, who were deployed to the vehicle in Silpho at 9.49pm, said the blaze caused damage to the whole of the car.

Earlier yesterday, at 7.59am, crews from Scarborough and Sherburn fire station put out a fire in the roof of an outbuilding in Sherburn.

An electrical fault is believed to have caused the flames which damaged wooden beams and slates of the building on St Hilda's Street.
