STUDENTS from a Scarborough school have dressed to impress to show off their new uniform in style.
The pupils from George Pindar Community Sports College took to the catwalk to model the new look, which will come into effect from September.
The move came from a result of students’ pressure, who wanted a uniform to signal the improvements made by the school during the last few years.
Students from Year Eight to Year 11 took part in the fashion parade, which was choreographed by the school’s Head of PE, Clare McQuade.
Their catwalk debut was well received, with headteacher John Senior saying the vast majority of students were enthusiastic about the uniform.
He added: “I think all the students understand a new uniform won’t make you a better student.
“However, alongside improved teaching and learning, good behaviour and individual support for students it does give a strong sense of the College’s expectations and aspirations for each one of its students.”
