Whitby and Scarborough's election runs smooth
ROBERT Goodwill was declared the winner of the Scarborough and Whitby seat last night after the vote count - held at the Filey Road Sports Centre - ran like clockwork.
After a relatively quick count of not far short of three hours, Mr Goodwill was finally announced as the constituency's next MP, retaining the seat he has held for five years and beating Annajoy David (Labour) into second place and Tania Exley-Moore (Liberal Democrats) into third..
