Company bids for business in Spain
A BRIDLINGTON company is hoping to branch in to the Spanish market after attending the 5th overseas Yorkshire and Humber International Business Network.
The event, which was held by UK Trade and Investment, was held in the historic Council Room of Barcelona's Chamber of Commerce, brought around 200 businesses and agencies together from across Yorkshire and Barcelona.
Premier Hazard from Bridlington was one of fourteen companies from across the Yorkshire and Humber region who were matched with potential business partners in a series of private meetings organised by UKTI's teams based in both Yorkshire and Barcelona.
The IBN forum was held in association with 'Leeds in Barcelona', a three-day festival of commerce and culture that Len Henshall, sales director for Exports at Premier Hazard, said: "It was less than three days Barcelona, but it was an intensive programme and I think all the companies participating learned a lot.
"Premier Hazard is looking to source distributors for our range of emergency service vehicle lighting and electrical equipment and when talking to Stephan Stahl, one of UKTI's international trade advisers based in East Yorkshire, we discussed the usefulness of attending the Barcelona IBN for my company and I've been very pleased with the results of my meetings with the Spanish firms.
"All three meetings were extremely productive and promise to develop into some real business."
