95 honoured for service
STAFF dedication has been rewarded at a Scarborough factory with the presentation of almost 100 long service awards.
McCain Foods honoured 95 employees for their long service to the company at a ceremony held at Royal Hotel, Scarborough.
The award winners, who had reached their 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35-year anniversaries of working at the McCain Foods Scarborough plant, collectively represented more than 1,800 years of dedicated service to the company.
McCain Foods chief executive officer for Great Britain, Ireland and South Africa, Nick Vermont, said: "At McCain Foods we believe our people are our greatest asset and it is great to see so many receiving long service awards this year.
"Over the years we have established many initiatives to ensure our staff remain motivated and committed and it is very rewarding as an employer to see the resulting levels of continued loyalty and dedication.
"As a company we are very grateful to all the recipients for their continued hard work and enthusiasm and I look forward to seeing them all again at our long service awards in the future."
Awards presented to staff included a bronze pin for 10 years service, a silver pin for 15 years service, and a gold pin plus one week's pay for 20 years service.
For longer servers a gold pin with a diamond, a framed certificate, an additional five days holiday and two weeks pay were presented for 25 years service, while those who served 30 years were presented an engraved gold watch and two weeks pay.
Thirty- five years service at McCain was rewarded with an engraved crystal pyramid, two weeks pay and a weekend away for two.
