Understudy brought in to Godspell

THE show will go on! That's the reaction from the producers of Godspell The Musical after its cast was hit by a mystery virus.
Tuesday’s Futurist Theatre show was cancelled when Tom Bradley, who plays the lead role of Jesus in the hit musical, and his understudy Richard Meek were struck down by a viral infection.

A new understudy has now been brought in and the production will run as normal until Saturday.

Manager Andrew Nesbit said: “You can’t help illness and it’s just one of those things. That’s live theatre.”
