POLICE made two arrests after carrying out five drugs raids in Scarborough.
Officers seized a total of 30 cannabis plants and half a kilo of skunk cannabis as a result of the raids.

The warrants were executed last Thursday and, according to witnesses, officers spent most of the day gathering evidence at one of the addresses in St Martin's Square.

Insp Mike Fenton, one of the senior investigating officers, said it was decided to carry out the raids after they received information about the suspects.

He said: "We did five raids on that day and two people are helping with our inquiries. It was intelligence that was received and we acted on it."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Scarborough Police on 0845 6060247.
